Biography

Scott Anderson’s practice is focused primarily in the areas of trial practice and litigation. Scott assisted in the preparation of several high-stakes appeals before the Eleventh Circuit, the Supreme Court of Georgia, the Court of Appeals of Georgia, and participated in numerous complex commercial and business litigation trials and hearings in the Superior Courts of Georgia.

Scott Anderson graduated from Mercer University, Walter F. George School of Law in May 2009, magna cum laude, in the top 5% of his class. Prior to joining James Bates in June 2003, Scott received his baccalaureate degree in political science with an honors study in political theory from the University of Toledo in 2001. He graduated magna cum laude, and was named the Political Science Department Student of the Year. He received his associate degree in legal assisting from the University of Toledo in 1998 with high honors. In addition, Scott served honorably as a highly-decorated, active-duty-enlisted member in the United States Navy from May 1990 through October 1995.

Scott is married to the former Joan Giles. He and his wife are active members of Greenwood Baptist Church in Gray, Georgia.
