Biography

Peter Bennion was born in Boston, Massachusetts, into a large family that values education and community service. For most of his youth he lived in California. He earned the Eagle Scout award and remains active in Boy Scouts of America. During his college years he spent time in Georgia doing volunteer service and decided then that Georgia is where he would like to raise his family.

He is married to the former Nicole Bradshaw. They moved to Georgia in 2006 when Peter entered the Walter F. George School of Law in Macon. Since coming here he has been involved in Boy Scouts and youth character development activities, and he served as political director of the successful campaign to elect Sam Hart as Bibb county chairman.

After graduating from law school, Mr. Bennion worked as an associate with the law firm of Katherine L. McArthur handling personal injury and workers’ compensation cases on behalf of injured individuals, and gaining experience with how plaintiff and claimant attorneys handle and value injury lawsuits.

He joined James Bates in August 2010 and practices with the firm’s litigation group on matters of uninsured/underinsured motorist litigation and coverage issues.
