Biography

Oby T. Brewer III serves regional and national companies in mergers and acquisitions, corporate finance, corporate governance, securities, and employment transactions. Mr. Brewer has actively represented clients in the financial, healthcare, technology and telecommunications industries. He has also served as counsel for both public and private companies as well as for executives, directors, investment bankers, venture capitalists, individual investors, consultants, and other participants in the corporate finance arena. He has acted as lead counsel in significant national and regional merger and acquisition transactions involving billions of dollars consideration. He has worked with numerous high-growth private companies to plan and facilitate financial capital through angel, venture capital, and private placement transactions. Mr. Brewer has been engaged to counsel boards of directors and executives in matters of corporate governance, corporate growth, employment, and conflict resolution. In addition, he has acted as lead counsel in numerous initial and secondary public offerings. Mr. Brewer also has acted as lead underwriter counsel for transactions conducted by leading national and regional investment banking firms. His experience also includes counseling financial service firms, broker-dealers, hedge funds, and investment companies in formation and regulatory matters. He has written and spoken on matters relating to corporate finance and public offerings, including counseling companies on corporate governance and the public-offering process.
