Carlos Alexander











Carlos joined James-Bates-Brannan-Groover-LLP as an associate in the fall of 2016.

Carlos graduated summa cum laude from Georgia State University in 1996 with a degree in Sociology. While attending Georgia State, Carlos also worked full time in the hospitality and direct mail advertising industries.

After obtaining his degree from Georgia State, Carlos worked for more than 15 years in the telecommunications, banking and financial services industries. While raising his children along with his wife Katie, Carlos was also active with the Gwinnett County Public Schools Mentoring Program and also served on a prison ministry team through his local church.

Carlos graduated from the University of Georgia School of Law in 2016. During law school Carlos was a recipient of the UGA Foundation Scholarship, and the Chester Davenport Scholarship and was selected as the William King Meadow Award recipient given to the graduate who best exemplifies integrity, responsibility, the high standards of the legal profession and a keen sense of humor necessary to afford a proper human perspective to the resolution of legal problems. While in law school, Carlos gained valuable experience in the areas of administrative law and employment law through various internships with the federal government and in the private sector. Carlos was an active member of the Christian Legal Society and the Black Law Students Association.

Carlos and his wife Katie have 2 grown sons and 2 granddaughters.
