With an emphasis on Community Banking for over 30 years, Dan has an extensive background as an executive officer and director in a publicly traded financial institution. After earning a bachelor’s degree in business management from Georgia Southern College, Dan attained his J. D. from Walter F. George School of Law, Mercer University. During Dan’s banking career he served in various executive leadership roles including being a Director, Vice Chair of the Board, Chief Executive Officer, Chief Financial Officer, Chief Operating Officer and General Counsel. He has been involved in over 30 merger and acquisition transactions during that time. Most recently he was part of the group that founded State Bank.

Dan’s practice is primarily devoted to Financial Institutions including strategic planning, merger and acquisition, board and executive management governance, regulatory advice and other general banking related topics.

Dan and his wife Robby currently reside in Pinehurst, GA.
